The Covenant School, an independent Christian Liberal Arts & Sciences school in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated educator to serve as Academic Support Coordinator for grades 6-12 beginning in the 2026-27 school year. Serving more than 750 students from Pre-K through Grade 12, our school is a gospel-centered community of faith and learning committed to the formation of the whole person through a rich and humane education. Faculty at The Covenant School understand teaching as a Christian vocation. They take personal responsibility for students’ intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth and work together to cultivate a community of scholars in which students are known, challenged, and formed in habits of thought and character for lives of faithful service.
The Academic Support Coordinator leads and coordinates academic support for students in the Middle and Upper School, ensuring that support is consistent, well-coordinated, and attentive to students’ growth in independence and responsibility. The coordinator works closely with students, families, and faculty to identify academic needs, develop support plans, and implement accommodations that align with the school’s academic program and mission. This role includes both program leadership and direct student support. The coordinator supervises the Middle School Academic Support Coach, coordinates services, and maintains systems for tracking student progress and accommodations. The coordinator also works directly with a limited caseload of students, helping them develop effective learning habits, organizational skills, and growing confidence in their academic work.
We welcome candidates whose experiences and backgrounds enrich this shared work within a community shaped by a shared commitment to the school’s Christian mission and educational vision.
