WHITTENDALE EXCAVATING CORP in Mount Laurel, NJ is seeking a skilled Lowboy/Landoll Truck Driver. This role transports heavy equipment between job sites, requiring safe rigging, route planning, and strict adherence to DOT rules.

You’ll operate specialized trailers and coordinate with site teams to maintain project momentum. Ideal candidates bring Class A CDL, proven experience with heavy machinery transport, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience hauling heavy construction equipment.
• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Ability to safely rig, chain, and secure oversized loads.

Responsibilities

• Operate lowboy and Landoll trailers to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads to and from job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe and compliant operation.
• Safely load, secure, and unload heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and compactors.
• Plan and navigate routes for oversized/overweight loads, including obtaining necessary permits.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to meet delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
