Job summary

Ruston Paving Co., Inc. is seeking a Lowboy Driver to join our team in Richmond, VA. This role drives trucks with flatbed trailers, loading and transporting heavy equipment to project sites, while adhering to safety and FMCSA guidelines.

A CDL A is required along with a USDOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate and at least 2 years of relevant experience. The position offers an ESOP structure, competitive hourly pay, and a $4,000 signing bonus through October 2026.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL (CDL A or CDL A Restricted).
• Must possess a USDOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Drivers must have a minimum of 2 years of experience transporting heavy construction equipment and/or materials.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain truck equipment per FMCSA guidelines.
• Complete daily inspection report and coordinate maintenance.
• Load, transport, and unload heavy equipment safely.
• Maintain logs and coordinate with dispatch.
• Ensure loads are properly tied down and safe for transit.
• Perform post-trip inspections.
