Job summary

Ruston Paving Co, Inc. is seeking a dependable Lowboy Driver to join our team in Richmond, VA.

You will transport heavy construction equipment and materials between our job sites and facilities, ensuring safe loading, securing, and delivery in accordance with regulations. You must hold a valid CDL A, maintain a current USDOT Medical Examiners Certificate, and bring at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
• USDOT Medical Examiners Certificate required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience transporting heavy construction equipment and/or materials.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily truck inspections per FMCSA guidelines.
• Maintains truck logs and time records as required.
• Loads, unloads, and secures heavy equipment for transport.
• Operates truck safely to project destination and back.
• Coordinates with dispatch for routing and schedule changes.
• Ensures load is properly tied down and compliant with safety standards.
