Job summary

Walbec Group seeks a Lowboy Driver to operate a tractor-trailer (lowboy or flat) to job sites for relocating heavy equipment and materials used in road construction and paving. This Company Driver role requires a valid Class A CDL and the ability to work varied hours in a demanding environment.

Applicants should have at least two years of tractor-trailer experience hauling large loads, a current Federal Medical card, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years tractor/trailer driving experience hauling large machinery or material loads.
• Valid Class A CDL with N endorsement, current Federal Medical card and satisfactory driving record.
• Experience with heavy equipment (preferred).
• Some mechanical aptitude and related training/experience (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and working knowledge of FMCSA regulatory rules.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer (lowboy or flat) to job sites to locate and relocate heavy equipment and materials for building, repairing, and paving roads.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations; maintain timely and accurate logs; communicate with site supervisors.

The Position

We're looking for a Lowboy Driver responsible for driving a tractor and trailer (lowboy or flat) to job sites to locate and relocate heavy equipment and materials that will be used in building, repairing, and paving of roads. This is a Company Driver position, and a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) is required.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years of related tractor/trailer driving experience hauling large machinery and material loads
• Valid Class A CDL w/ "N" endorsement, current Federal Medical card and satisfactory driving record
• Experience with various types of heavy equipment (preferred)
• Some mechanical aptitude, training and/or experience (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work well with others and a working knowledge of all FMCSA regulatory rules.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Have the ability to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed.
• Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
