Duties/Responsibilities:

• Diagnose system malfunctions of fire alarms and adjust, repair or replace equipment as needed to bring into compliance.
• Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
• Ability to work independently or supervise others as required
• Complete documentation associated with fire alarm services provided
• Customer service, coordination, and communication

Required Skills/Abilities:

• NICET certifications a plus, but not required
• Installation experience and prior construction experience a plus.
• Diagnosis and Troubleshooting skills of commercial low voltage systems
• Must have a positive and respectful attitude to maintain good working relationships with management staff, employees, vendors and customers.

Education and Experience:

• Field electrical and/or electronic practical experience required.
• AA degree in electronics preferred, but not required or equivalent technical/Military school supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required. Paid for by ARK.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs
• Must be willing to work at heights
• Must be able to operate electrical tools
• Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times
