Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems (structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, etc).
• Read plans and schematics and pull/terminate cables.
• Set up panels and devices; test and certify systems.
• Document work performed and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and clients to ensure safety and code compliance.
• Occasionally support after-hours or emergency service calls.

Role Description

The Low Voltage Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Stoughton, MA. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems such as structured cabling, security systems, access control, CCTV, fire alarms, and communication networks in commercial and industrial environments. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting plans and schematics, pulling and terminating cables, setting up panels and devices, testing and certifying systems, and documenting work performed. The technician will diagnose issues, perform troubleshooting, and coordinate with project managers, electricians, and clients to ensure systems are installed safely, code-compliant, and operating reliably. The role may involve working in varied environments, using hand and power tools, adhering to safety protocols, and occasionally supporting after-hours or emergency service calls.
