Job summary

OhmComm, Inc. in the Philadelphia area is seeking a skilled Installer/Technician to support home and business audio/video, security, and automation projects.

You will install, program, and test security systems and A/V equipment, run cabling, and train customers on operation. Ideal candidates are organized, able to juggle multiple tasks, and deliver excellent customer service while adhering to company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and program security systems for a central station.
• Test devices and supervise training for customers.
• Run CAT5 and RG6 cabling and retrofitting as needed.
• Maintain stock and handle daily operational issues for clients.
• Install and service audio/video equipment and projectors.
• Stay updated on new home tech and follow company procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

• New installations
• Programming security systems to a central station
• Testing all the devices
• Training the customer
• Retro new wires
• Keep track of stock
• Handle daily operational issues that come up for each builder client
• Security/alarm systems (installing/programming/troubleshooting)
• CAT5 and RG6 cabling systems (installing/retrofitting/terminating/etc.)
• Central vacuum systems, intercom systems (M&S/OnQ)
• Audio and video/media (install projectors and /cut in speakers/program remotes/troubleshoot/etc.)
• Stays updated with new and current Audio/Video and Home Technologies
• Follows company policy and procedure to maintain thorough data and customer feedback while optimizing the success.
