Duties

• Installation, troubleshooting, repair, and termination of Cat 5e, 6, coax, and fiber optic cables.
• Experience with video & security systems, including running video/audio cabling, DVR system setup & troubleshooting is a major plus.
• Experience with running phone lines, punch down blocks, & line/extension troubleshooting is a major plus.
• Experience with patch panel Installation
• Use of test equipment and appropriate hand tools as needed during installation or repair.
• Updating documentation, as appropriate, for customer and other technicians.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Driver’s license.
• Must Have their own personal tools; small personal drill, crimper, punch down, P-touch Labeler, wire map tester, etc. excluding Certifiers and Power Tools.
• Proficiency with testing equipment.
• Working knowledge of current cabling standards and codes.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must be a team player as our techs often work together
• Strong communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work on ladders.
