Job Description

Low Voltage Technician

Greenville SC

Peak has a need for an experienced Low Voltage Technician in the Greenville SC area.

This position involves the installation of radio communications and electronics equipment at customer locations. It requires regular local travel to job sites, with less than 5% overnight travel. Employees will be assigned to a team; teams will travel together from the Greenville office.

Pay Overview

Pay is based on experience and overall qualifications, ranging from $25 to $30 per hour.

Hours of Operation
  • 8 am to 5 pm
  • Monday through Friday
  • One-hour lunch
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of hand tools
  • Clear MVR for 7 years
  • Driver's license for South Carolina
Required Training
  • ETA - Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
  • R56
  • OSHA 10
  • First Aid/CPR

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Functions

This position involves active physical work, including lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying 75-100 lbs. It requires specific vision abilities and the use of hands for handling objects and tools. The role is primarily performed in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installing DAS wireless equipment using appropriate components to NEC standards.
  • Mounting rack, wall, and ceiling DAS components.
  • Connectorizing and testing RF cables.
  • Troubleshooting DAS systems.
  • Conducting RF coverage testing and optimization.
  • Performing site surveys for RF and cabling.
  • Wiring DC power plants and low voltage circuits.
  • Documenting installation processes and progress.
  • Installing fixed network and low voltage hardware.
  • Designing and fabricating custom hardware for installations.
  • Maintaining stock and supplies in service vehicles.
  • Complying with company policies and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

Random drug screenings are performed at all locations.
