Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, inspect, test, maintain and repair security, fire alarm, and related low voltage systems across client sites in the Wenatchee area. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide on-site support and training to customers, with a focus on safety and code compliance.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Limited Energy Systems Electrician license required.
Experience servicing commercial security and fire alarm systems is required.

Responsibilities

Install low voltage components in accordance with building codes and regulations.
Service security and fire alarm systems and related devices; dismantle and/or reconstruct equipment as needed.
Service low voltage systems and related devices; dismantle and/or reconstruct equipment as needed.
Conduct testing and inspections of security and fire alarm systems under maintenance agreements.
Troubleshoot and complete necessary repairs.
Make connections and adjustments as directed; test the operation of all system components.
Ensure work is done in accordance with local building codes and standards.
Work with technicians and contractors to install and terminate devices.
Diagnose electrical problems in residential and/or commercial buildings.
Measure voltage.
Knowingly discuss the implications of installing various types of wiring.
Possess the ability to train customers on the operation of their system.
Conduct site surveys upon request of management.
Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material to management.
Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service).
Write service and status reports.
Submit complete and accurate paperwork in a timely manner; obtain proper signatures.
Accurately record travel and service times, timesheets, identify warranties, changes and code issues and provide accurate descriptions.
Ability to work independently on customer sites.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
