Job summary

GreenWood, Inc. is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and repair security, fire alarm, and network wiring. You will work independently and with plant personnel to perform preventive and routine maintenance while following safety policies.

Responsibilities include running and terminating cables, installing and configuring equipment, troubleshooting low voltage systems, and reading blueprints. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 3 years in low voltage wiring and data.
• Solid understanding of low voltage systems (security, fire alarm, AV).
• Proficiency in electrical wiring for installing and maintaining various low voltage systems.
• Able to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Experience with fiber optic cabling installation/termination and Cat5/6 cabling.
• Ability to diagnose and repair issues in low voltage systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Post-secondary education or technical training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run and terminate cables (Cat5/6, fiber, power).
• Install and configure equipment.
• Troubleshoot and test low voltage systems; diagnose and repair components.
• Work with low voltage systems; maintain AV equipment and cameras.
• Read blueprints and technical diagrams; use testing equipment.
• Utilize CMMS system (SAP) to manage work orders and history.
• Follow safety procedures and foster a safety-first culture.
