Job summary

Primary Location: SLIDELL, LA. Walmart is seeking a skilled technician to install and maintain low voltage systems including security, fire Alarm, CCTV, AV, and cabling. You will test and certify cabling, diagnose issues, and restore performance with minimal downtime.

You will also provide user training, coordinate with project teams, and help improve field processes while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, installs, configures, and supports low voltage systems (security, fire alarms, CCTV, AV, cabling).
• Runs, terminates, labels, and tests cabling per specs and standards.
• Performs preventive maintenance and functional testing to ensure reliability.
• Diagnoses and resolves system faults to minimize downtime.
• Provides user training on operation and basic maintenance.
• Communicates with clients to understand requirements and propose solutions.
• Leads teamwork, coordinates tasks, and supports process improvements.
