Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Systems Superintendent to lead field execution of complex low-voltage and technology systems on large healthcare construction projects in Dallas, Texas.   • Experience as a Superintendent overseeing low-voltage or technology systems on commercial construction projects.
  • Healthcare construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nurse call, structured cabling, security, fire alarm, BAS, DAS, and other integrated systems
  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IBC, TIA/EIA, and other applicable industry standards
  • Excellent coordination, scheduling, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and technology scopes simultaneously
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering projects on schedule

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site leadership for all low-voltage and technology-related scopes throughout construction
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general construction teams to ensure proper sequencing and minimize conflicts
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders related to low-voltage systems.
  • Lead coordination meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Manage the installation, coordination, and commissioning of systems including Nurse Call / Patient Communication
  • Structured Cabling & Data/Telecommunications Infrastructure
  • Security Systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection)Fire Alarm Systems

Quality & Commissioning

  • Ensure all systems are installed in accordance with contract documents, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards
  • Oversee testing, certification, startup, and commissioning activities
  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors and commissioning agents
  • Verify successful integration and interoperability between building systems
  • Maintain accurate as-built documentation, operations manuals, and training records

Schedule, Budget & Safety

  • Develop and maintain schedules for all technology-related scopes
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure work remains on schedule and within budget
  • Track progress, identify potential risks, and proactively resolve issues
  • Manage change orders, labor, and material impacts associated with low-voltage work
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Partner closely with Project Managers, engineers, architects, consultants, equipment vendors, and ownership teams
  • Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks
  • Foster strong communication between all project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
