Kavaliro is seeking an Electronic Security Systems Technician for a contract role in San Antonio, TX. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain low voltage security systems, working directly with customers and project teams to keep critical operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on experience with intrusion and access control, CCTV, and structured cabling, plus strong troubleshooting and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in low voltage service or a similar role.
• Solid working knowledge of intrusion detection and alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV/video surveillance, and structured cabling.
• Strong troubleshooting skills — you know how to find the problem and fix it.
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Decommissioning of a CCTV system.
• Decommissioning of a low voltage system including: Intrusion alarm systems Access control systems CCTV and video surveillance Voice and data cabling.
• Diagnose system issues and implement effective, timely solutions.
• Perform system testing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Program and configure systems as needed.
• Document service work clearly and accurately (reports, updates, system changes).
• Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members.
• Provide on-site customer support and basic system training.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards, company expectations, and applicable codes.
