Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Low Voltage Cable Lead Installer/Technician to join our team. This role requires a dedicated professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for technology. You will lead projects installing various types of cabling systems, ensuring high standards of workmanship and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:

  1. Terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat 6/6A and fiber optic cabling systems
    • Includes fusion splicing, scribe & polish termination, and operating test equipment (cable certifiers, OTDR, etc.)
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings
  3. Install and configure low-voltage systems
    • Includes IP cameras, access control panels, intrusion detection, TVs, and audio/video equipment (speakers, displays)
  4. Pull, dress, label, and secure structured cabling to industry and ACCI standards
  5. Design and build cable pathways (cable tray, J-hooks, conduit) and support structures
  6. Rack and stack network equipment, patch panels, and switches
  7. Install and terminate jacks, faceplates, and patch panels
  8. Troubleshoot and repair cabling and connected devices
  9. Perform site surveys and validate project scope
  10. Document work performed: create as-builts, update redlines, and complete daily/close-out reports
  11. Lead and mentor junior technicians; coordinate and supervise small teams as needed
