Job summary

Next Level Technician in Montgomery, AL is seeking a NICET Level I Fire Alarm Technician to assist with installation of fire alarm systems at commercial and industrial sites. You will read blueprints, pull and label cable, and perform basic testing under supervision.

Responsibilities include system startups, inspections, troubleshooting, and documenting work. Travel within Montgomery and occasional Auburn/Troy trips may be required; weekly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• NICET Level I certification required or actively pursuing.
• 1+ year experience in fire alarm installation or related field.
• Ability to read blueprints/floor plans/wiring diagrams.
• Basic understanding of NEC and NFPA 72 codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of fire alarm systems and devices in commercial/industrial environments.
• Pull, terminate, dress, and label fire alarm cable per project specs.
• Perform basic testing and verification of installed wiring and devices.
• Read and interpret fire alarm layouts, drawings, and blueprints.
• Assist senior technicians with startups, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs; maintain accurate documentation.
• Work safely on ladders and lifts; travel to project sites as needed.
