Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Electrical Installation Lead – Low Voltage Devices & Controls to drive installation, configuration, and validation of field devices and low‑voltage controls for automation and material handling equipment across North American sites.

The role focuses on leading installation crews, ensuring correct device parameters, and readiness for commissioning and energization, reporting to the Site Deployment Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering including a supervisory role managing people.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical installation, controls installation, automation deployment, or a similar technical environment.
• Experience with low‑voltage control systems including 24VDC circuits, field devices, sensors, VFDs, and industrial communication networks.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically; travel may exceed 50% in some instances with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical installation crews focused on low-voltage device installation and configuration for MHE systems across North American facilities.
• Direct installation of field devices including photo eyes, proximity sensors, encoders, limit switches, E‑stop devices, pull cords, safety devices, and barcode scanners.
• Oversee VFD installation, mounting, power connections, and control wiring.
• Manage I/O block installation, wiring, and terminal connections per I/O lists and wiring diagrams.
• Direct installation of zone controllers, actuators, operator stations, and stack lights.
