Job summary

EwingCole is seeking a Low Voltage Design Technician 1 for our Philadelphia or Wayne offices. You will support the design, documentation and coordination of telecom, security and AV systems under supervision, building foundational knowledge.

The role uses Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office to deliver project documentation and perform calculations, with hybrid work options and a strong emphasis on collaboration and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree or technical school certification in a related field.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Suite software.

Responsibilities

• Develops clear drawings and documentation including documenting existing conditions and assisting in the layout of Low Voltage Systems.
• Demonstrates aptitude in the use of the necessary software to complete tasks.
• Actively acquire knowledge of technical terms and concepts related to building technology.
• Supports the project team in the delivery of project documentation.
• Gains exposure by participating in submittal reviews and site visits.
• Performs engineering calculations under close supervision.

We are seeking an Low Voltage Design Technician 1 to join our Philadelphia or Wayne office.

The Low Voltage Design Technician 1 performs project design, documentation and coordination of Low Voltage (Telecom, Security and AV) Systems under the supervision of the Electrical Engineer, Senior/Project Engineer, Project Low Voltage Designer or Senior Project Low Voltage Designer. This position supports the team while building foundational technical knowledge.

Essential Functions:

• Documentation: Develops clear drawings and documentation including documenting existing conditions and assisting in the layout of Low Voltage (Telecom, Security and AV) Systems
• Software: Demonstrates aptitude in the use of the necessary software to complete tasks
• Building Technology: Actively acquire knowledge of technical terms and concepts
• Project Delivery: Supports the project team in the delivery of project documentation
• Quality Standards: Actively acquire knowledge of production and delivery standards
• Sustainability: Develops understanding of sustainable concepts
• Construction Administration: Gains exposure by participating in submittal reviews and site visits
• Calculations: Performs engineering calculations under close supervision

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree or technical school certification in a related field
• EwingCole currently utilizes Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Suite software to deliver projects
