Job summary

EwingCole is seeking a Project Low Voltage Designer to design and document low voltage systems (Telecom, Security, AV) on major projects in the Philadelphia or Wayne offices. You will coordinate across disciplines from concept to construction, mentor junior staff, and help estimate project hours and scope.

Qualified candidates have strong Revit/AutoCAD skills, knowledge of codes, QA/QC experience, and a focus on sustainable design. Hybrid work options and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree or technical school certification in a related field, or 10+ years of field experience installing/designing applicable systems
• RCDD and/or CISSP and/or CTS-D preferred
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and the Microsoft Suite

Responsibilities

• Guiding the modeling and creation of drawings to deliver projects
• Reviewing key project decisions with Discipline leadership
• Applying an understanding of construction methods to building design
• Progressing project work from schematic design through construction documentation
• Ensuring designs comply with local and national codes
• Promoting QA/QC and company standards
• Conceiving sustainable design solutions and energy considerations
• Initiating design approaches and selecting suitable equipment
• Managing construction administration to maintain design intent
• Calculating and applying analysis models for project decisions
• Analyzing construction costs and developing cost-saving alternatives
• Communicating design intent and system impacts clearly to stakeholders
