TEKsystems is seeking a hands-on Low Voltage Cable Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling across varied environments in Hesperia, CA. The role emphasizes data cabling, fiber optics, and surveillance systems with strict safety compliance.

The position is contract-based, onsite in Hesperia, CA, with a pay range of $25.00 to $32.00 per hour and a benefits package dependent on eligibility. Certifications such as OSHA10 and Aerial Lift are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Entry-level to expert experience in low voltage cabling
• Familiarity with CAT6 cabling, fiber optics, and surveillance systems
• Ability to work in various environments and building types
• Experience working on aerial lifts (boom and scissor lifts)
• Industry certifications (e.g., BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA) are a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems (CAT6, fiber optic, coaxial, etc.)
• Perform cable pulling, termination, and punchdown tasks
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings up to 2,000,000 sq ft
• Drill through concrete walls and perform limited conduit work
• Operate aerial lifts such as boom lifts and scissor lifts to access elevated work areas safely
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols
