Job summary

TEKsystems in Hanahan, SC is hiring for a Cable Installation Technician to join a growing low-voltage team. You will work on structured cabling, data networks, security systems and AV projects across commercial facilities, with opportunities to advance your skills.

The role involves installing and testing cabling, interpreting blueprints, and supporting access control and CCTV installations on-site. A strong work ethic and willingness to travel regionally are valued traits.

Qualifications

Experience with structured cabling and low-voltage systems.
Ability to read low-voltage drawings and blueprints to identify key symbols and installation requirements.
Willingness to travel regionally to project locations as needed.

Responsibilities

Pull, route, label, terminate and punch down cabling (CAT5, CAT6, coax, fibre).
Install and secure cabling with appropriate supports.
Work on new construction and renovations in schools, hospitals, and commercial facilities.
Assist with testing and troubleshooting to ensure performance.
Support light access control, CCTV, and alarm installations under guidance.
Learn and develop skills in audio/visual installations.
