Job summary

Next Level Technician in Brookfield, WI seeks a Low Voltage Technician to install and test structured cabling, fiber optic systems, access control, CCTV, and nurse call setups. You will read blueprints, terminate cabling, and ensure safety while climbing ladders.

Requires 2+ years in low voltage, experience with structured cabling and telecom networks, and ability to travel within Wisconsin. Competitive weekly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years commercial/industrial low voltage experience.
  • Experience with structured cabling and voice/data or security systems preféred.
  • Experience with fiber optic installation, termination, and/or splicing preféred.
  • BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus.
  • Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots).
  • Working knowledge of telecom/data networks.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites within Wisconsin as needed.

  • Test installed cable using Fluke or similar testers.
  • Punch down voice and data jacks.
  • Perform punch-downs, cross-connects, fiber termination, and fiber splicing.
  • Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF.
  • Work safely on ladders/lifts and heights.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and layouts.
  • Install and support access control, CCTV, audio/visual, security, paging, nurse call.

Low Voltage Technician – Structured Cabling | Brookfield, WI

Responsibilities
  • Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6, voice, data, security, paging, nurse call, and fiber optic systems
  • Test installed cable (Fluke or similar testers)

  • Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
  • Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)

Physical Requirements

Ability to bend, lift, twist, turn, crawl into tight spaces, frequently climb and work from 6'+ ladders and lifts, perform extended overhead cabling/wiring, and load, unload, and move materials up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
