Job summary

Next Level Technician in Greenville, SC is seeking a Low Voltage AV Technician to install, configure, and test commercial AV systems across sites in the Upstate. You’ll work with CAT5e/6, fiber, HDMI, displays, speakers, projectors, and control systems, translating drawings into reliable installations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial AV installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of AV system integration, troubleshooting, commissioning, and testing.
• Ability to independently complete advanced AV installations with minimal supervision.
• Experience with manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, Poly, Cisco, or similar platforms.
• Manufacturer certifications strongly preferred.
• Programming experience is a plus but not required.
• Working knowledge of structured cabling and IP-based networks.
• Ability to read AV drawings and installation documentation.
• Basic AV installation hand tools and standard PPE required.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Greenville and Upstate South Carolina market as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot AV cabling including CAT5e/CAT6, fiber, HDMI, audio, and control cabling.
• Install and configure commercial AV systems on commercial and industrial sites.
• Mount and install displays, video walls, projectors, projection screens, speakers, microphones, cameras, and other AV equipment.
• Rack, stack, wire, label, and organize AV equipment racks and headend systems.
• Commission AV systems and perform system testing to ensure functionality and customer acceptance.
• Troubleshoot AV signal flow, networking, control systems, and integrated technologies.
• Read and interpret AV drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Work safely from ladders and lifts while adhering to job site safety requirements.
• Lead installation efforts and provide guidance to junior technicians when needed.
• Support integrated technologies including DSPs, control systems, UC platforms, and network-based AV solutions.
