Job summary

JLL is seeking a Low Voltage Technician in Devens, MA to install, maintain and repair low voltage systems including data networks, security and access controls. You will work on-site, read blueprints, test cabling, troubleshoot issues, and document installations while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities include setting up door controls, CCTV, fire alarm systems where licensed, mounting equipment and providing client support as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of low voltage systems and wiring techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings and layouts.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work in various environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, coaxial).
• Set up and maintain systems such as door controls, access control, CCTV, and fire alarm systems where permitted/licensed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair wiring and system issues.
• Mount and install equipment (racks, panels, devices, cameras).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and local codes.
• Label and document installations accurately.
• Test system functionality and perform quality checks.
• Provide basic training or support to clients.
