Job summary

JPM Lock and Security in Michigan is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service low voltage systems including access control, CCTV, alarms, and intercoms across commercial and residential sites.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience, be proficient with cable termination, read blueprints, and follow safety practices. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training is a plus, and a clean driving record is essential.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in low voltage or related electrical work.
  • Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors, ladders, ceilings, etc.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and service low voltage systems such as access control, CCTV, alarm, and intercom systems.
  • Run and terminate cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, etc.).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair to ensure system functionality.
  • Maintain documentation of work performed and materials used.
  • Work independently or on a team and communicate professionally with customers.
  • Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.
