Job summary

DV Trading is seeking a highly motivated student developer for the 2027 Summer Internship on the equities desk. You will gain hands-on experience building components of our low-latency trading platform, working with C++ or Python, and collaborating with traders and engineers.

You’ll contribute to real projects, learn industry best practices, and sharpen skills in data analysis, backtesting, and research tooling while exploring how technology drives competitive advantage in global markets.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in either C++ or Python with coursework exposure to the other language.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Based on your primary language, focus on low-latency system components (C++) or data/backtesting tooling (Python).
• Assist in design, development, and maintenance of low-latency trading system components using C++.
• Build tools and scripts in Python for data analysis, backtesting, and strategy research.
• Work with senior traders, quantitative researchers, and software developers to understand the trading technology stack.
• Optimize and refactor existing code for performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions and learn industry best practices.
• Further responsibilities may be driven by interests and skills.
