Job summary

Enormous Enterprise LLC in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Senior/Lead Python Engineer to design and build scalable, low-latency Python systems for front-office trading platforms. You will ensure robust trade lifecycle handling and seamless downstream integration across Risk, Finance, and Ops.

Qualifications

• Python, ReactJS, and functional programming expertise required.
• Deep knowledge of Global Markets and trade lifecycle including capture, margining, collateral management, lifecycle events, and settlement flows.
• Hands-on end-to-end development with Python across design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong OOP with modular, scalable, maintainable architecture.
• Experience with object-oriented data models and NoSQL/distributed databases for trade, position, pricing, and risk data.
• Hands-on experience building FO trade capture systems with real-time ingestion, validation, enrichment, and processing.
• Proficient in APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures across FO, Risk, Finance, Ops.
• Data quality controls, reconciliation, auditability, and lineage for downstream systems.
• GFF / FICC experience; understanding of products, workflows, and operating models.
• High-performance, low-latency systems focus on scalability, concurrency, caching, and distributed processing.
• Architectural/design skills to build extensible, reusable systems.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Emphasis on automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with large-scale platform buildouts or re-platforming in trading environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, low-latency Python-based systems for front-office Short End Trading front-to-back processes.
• Ensure robust handling of trade lifecycle, validation, and downstream system integration (Risk, Finance, Ops).
• Implement strong engineering practices to prevent data inconsistencies and lifecycle breaks.
• Address scalability challenges through well-architected services, efficient data models, and event-driven design.
• Serve as key engineering liaison across Trading, Risk, Finance, and technology teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
• Enable high-quality, predictable delivery supporting growth, faster onboarding, and reduced execution risk.
