Job summary

Deutsche Bank AG in New York seeks an experienced Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator (Vice President) to support a global low-latency infrastructure with 2,300+ servers across multiple data centers.

You will manage hardware lifecycles, perform kernel tuning, and collaborate with application teams to upgrade OSs and firmware. Hybrid work arrangement is offered, with a strong focus on incident response and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on expertise with SLES and RHEL and patching processes.
• Experience with low-latency, high-availability infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Automation experience using Ansible, shell scripting, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support for Change the Bank and Run the Bank activities across Global Low Latency UNIX infrastructure, including rapid response to production incidents.
• Plan, deploy, activate, productionize, upgrade, and maintain low-latency server hardware and operating systems across exchange colocation sites and core data centers.
• Perform advanced Linux and latency-specific tuning, including CPU isolation, real-time threads, interrupt affinity, and NIC optimization.
• Collaborate with application and project teams to align environments with the technology roadmap, including OS and hardware upgrades.
• Design, test, and validate engineering releases and RPM packages requiring ultra-low-latency performance.
• Drive standardization and automation while coordinating with UNIX teams and vendors.
