Job summary

Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, NV, part of MGM Resorts, seeks a Food & Beverage Runner to enhance dining experiences with prompt, polished service. You will greet guests, describe dishes, and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely delivery of food at the appropriate tables.

You will also maintain station cleanliness, handle side-work, and support management with guest feedback to ensure smooth operations. Starting rate is $15.21 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• 6+ months of prior relevant experience in a similar environment preferred.
• Willing to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in a resort setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome.
• Expedite food from the kitchen to the table as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef or kitchen expediter.
• Describe food upon placement on the table, answering questions pertaining to the dishes.
• Describe menu features as needed (include changes and additions).
• Communicate with expediter to ensure delivery of food to the correct table and position.
• Perform assigned open and closing side-work.
• Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen and management, inform management of guest comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service.
• Check dining area, tables and chairs for cleanliness, maintain cleanliness and organization of station and service area.

THE STARTING RATE:

$15.21 + tip

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
