Job summary

Bodega Taqueria Y Tequila in Chicago's West Loop is seeking a Lounge Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a bar and hospitality team, and uphold superior guest service. This onsite role emphasizes leadership, service standards, cash handling, and collaboration with kitchen and bar staff.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive staffing, supervise shifts, ensure safety compliance, and deliver engaging experiences during peak hours and events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within a lounge, bar, or hospitality setting.
• Strong understanding of lounge operations, service standards, cash handling and inventory management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guest focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage the Lounge team, fostering a high-performing environment.
• Oversee staffing levels and labor costs across shifts.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily goals and standards.
• Train, mentor, and onboard new team members to uphold policies and service expectations.
• Act as Leader on Duty (LOD) and ensure smooth lounge operations.
• Oversee daily operations including cash handling and inventory management.
