Crestline Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly Part-Time Bartender to craft beverages and provide attentive service in the Courtyard by Marriott Aberdeen at Ripken Stadium. The role emphasizes guest engagement, accuracy, and safety in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Evening shifts run 3:30 pm–12:00 am on Fridays, Saturdays, and alternating Sundays, with responsibilities across bar service, stock upkeep, and POS operations. 21+ age required; CPR/ liquor certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Minimum 1 year of server or barback experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow state liquor regulations and provide friendly guest service.
• Basic knowledge of drink recipes and beverage service standards.
• Certification in liquor, wine, and food service.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Proficiency with countertop POS and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and light meals.
• Input orders into the POS system and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the outlet and equipment.

Located adjacent to Ripken Stadium, the Courtyard by Marriott / Residence Inn Aberdeen at Ripken Stadium welcomes business travelers, sports teams, families, and leisure guests from around the country. We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and guest-focused Part-Time Bartender to help create exceptional experiences for our guests.

Hours for this position are 3:30 pm - 12:00 am (midnight) on Friday, Saturday, and alternating Sundays.

Overview:

The Lounge Bartender will take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. He/she also will maintain stock/supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies.
• Always keep bank secure.
• Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.
• Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing suggestive/up-selling techniques.
• Input orders into system and ensure transmission is verified by Bartender/Kitchen.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of tables, service areas and outlet itself.
• Present guest checks and process payments through the Bartender/Cashier. Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Clean and reset tables immediately after guests depart.
• Collect and report tips at the end of assigned shift.
• Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and Hotel requirements.
• Complete all closing reports in the P.O.S. system.
• Legibly document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manager.

Education and Experience:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent.
• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 1-year experience as a Server or Barback preferredbut not required.
• Must have good understanding of the English language.
• Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards.
• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service.
• Certification in an alcohol awareness program.
• Certification in CPR.
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
• Previous guest/customer relations training.
