Job summary

Garmin is seeking a full-time Audio Engineer 2 at the Miramar/South Florida site to develop moderately complex loudspeaker solutions, model components with CAD/FEA, and drive testing and validation for mass production.

You will work with Electrical Engineers, Industrial Designers and Process Engineers, engage vendors, and contribute to design reviews and listening tests while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering with 1+ year experience.
• GPA 3.0+ or equivalent academic record.
• CAD modeling proficiency and general engineering tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication; teamwork abilities.
• Eligible for EIT or Professional Engineer licensure (Alberta).

Responsibilities

• Develop moderately complex loudspeaker designs for Garmin or OEM products.
• Model parts using CAD and FEA; specify components and sources.
• Collaborate in design reviews and conduct listening tests.
• Estimate tooling costs and design time; validate with tests.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain urgency in solutions.
