Job summary

Garmin Ltd. is seeking a full-time Audio Engineer 2 at the Miramar/South Florida site to develop moderately complex loudspeaker solutions, model parts using CAD/FEA, and support qualification tests for mass production.

You will collaborate with electrical, design, and process engineers, mentor junior engineers, and estimate tooling and design time while maintaining a sense of urgency and ownership. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace Engineering with at least 1

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering with 1+ year of relevant experience or equivalent
• GPA generally 3.0+
• CAD proficiency and ability to model moderately complex parts
• Engineering tools proficiency for job duties
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Cochrane location: EIT or P.Eng eligibility in Alberta

Responsibilities

• Design and complete moderately complex loudspeaker designs for Garmin or OEM products
• Model parts through CAD and FEA; specify loudspeaker components
• Contribute to design reviews with comments and suggestions
• Conduct in-depth listening tests to qualify designs
• Estimate tooling, part cost and design time for projects
• Define test plans to validate loudspeaker systems
