Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in Miramar, FL is seeking a full-time Audio Engineering Intern to assist with designing and testing acoustic components and audio products alongside experienced engineers.

You will help design, prototype, test, assemble, and document related components, while leveraging CAD tools like SolidWorks and collaborating across engineering and manufacturing teams to support new product introductions and resolve production issues.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• GPA at least 3.0 or higher.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, prototyping, and testing of acoustic components and audio systems.
• Support product testing by following procedures, collecting data, and documenting results.
• Maintain BOMs, test documentation, and records of product verification.
• Assist engineering teams with assembly of prototype audio products.
• Develop fixtures and enclosures using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on new product introductions and troubleshoot issues.
• Work with test engineers and factory personnel to support testing and production.
• Research emerging audio technologies and trends to support development.
• Maintain product documentation and engineering records per configuration control processes.
• Participate in product evaluations and provide feedback on products in development.
