Job summary

Brightstar Lottery in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and service Brightstar equipment at retailer locations. You will respond to dispatches, install, repair, and replace equipment and communication devices to keep operations running smoothly.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years in customer service and 1–2 years in technical repairs, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Physical work includes lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing.

• 1-2 years of experience in technical repairs.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, have a good driving record and demonstrate color vision.

Responsibilities

• Attend driver training and follow Brightstar vehicle policy.
• Maintain equipment to promote continuous operation of Brightstar equipment.
• Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning equipment in the field.
• Communicate effectively with Dispatchers; report activity, times, problems, and resolutions.
• Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts and track inventory.

Overview

The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and servicing Brightstar equipment at Retailer (customer) locations in the Moses Lake, WA, area. Responds to dispatches and drives to customer locations within a specified "zone" to deliver supplies and to install, remove, or repair lottery equipment and communication devices.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for transporting, installing (if applicable), and maintaining Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and other equipment in an organized and structured manner.
• Attend driver training and follow Brightstar vehicle policy regarding the use and maintenance of the company vehicle.
• Maintain equipment to promote continuous operation of Brightstar equipment.
• Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning equipment to working order in the field. This may include swapping failed equipment, cleaning and/or minor adjusting of the malfunctioning component.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with Dispatchers. Accurately report activity, arrival and departure times and problems, details, and resolutions of failures to Dispatch.
• Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts such as paper, ribbons, betslips, etc. and track inventory of these items.
• Deliver basic training to new Retailers or refresher/remedial training to Retailers who may be performing procedures incorrectly, such as changing paper and ribbon.
• Complete basic forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, recommendations for improvements to procedures, etc.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED equivalent required.
• At least 1 - 2 years of experience in a customer service related position.
• At least 1 -2 years of experience in technical repairs.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, have a good driving record and demonstrate the ability to correctly perceive colors.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to climb a ladder, lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds for a significant distance (e.g., from a parked vehicle to a point within the Retailer's location or to the rooftop of the retailer's location). Must be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods of time, demonstrate dexterity when working with tools and work with moving parts and electrical current. May work at heights (rooftop) for installation of equipment, work in close quarters and/or; be exposed to inclement weather during some installations.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $19.00 - $28.00. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
