Job summary

Brightstar Lottery in New York is seeking a Lottery Field Services Technician to service equipment at retailer locations, including transportation, installation, and maintenance of Brightstar equipment and supplies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Saugerties, NY, with regular fieldwork and customer interaction.

You will train retailers, troubleshoot field equipment, report activity to Dispatch, and uphold Brightstar's standards of service and responsibility while maintaining inventory

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• 1+ year of experience in technical repairs.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to perceive colors.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights or in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment at retailer locations in Saugerties, NY as part of the Field Services team.
• Transport, install, and maintain Brightstar equipment, parts, and tools.
• Attend driver training and follow Brightstar's vehicle policy.
• Maintain equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment in the field and perform minor repairs.
• Communicate with Dispatchers; report activity, arrivals, problems, and resolutions.
• Deliver marketing supplies and track inventory.
• Provide basic training to retailers and refresher training as needed.
• Complete primary forms for reporting activities and equipment issues.

YOUR ROLE IN THE BRIGHTSTAR UNIVERSE

• Brightstar seeks a Lottery Field Services Technician in Saugerties, NY to service equipment at retailer locations. This role is part of our award-winning lottery services team and involves regular fieldwork, driving, and customer support.
• Responsible for transporting, installing, and maintaining Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and supplies in an organized and structured manner.

• Attend driver training and follow Brightstar's vehicle policy regarding the use and maintenance of company vehicles.
• Maintain equipment to promote the continuous operation ofBrightstar equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment to restore it to working order in the field. This may include swapping failed equipment, cleaning it, and making minor adjustments to the malfunctioning component.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with Dispatchers. Accurately report activity, arrival and departure times, problems, details, and resolutions of failures to Dispatch.
• Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts, such as paper, ribbons, and bet slips, and track the inventory of these items.
• Deliver basic training to new retailers or refresher/remedial training to retailers performing procedures incorrectly, such as changing paper and ribbon.
• Complete primary forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, recommendations for procedure improvements, etc

Qualifications

YOUR STAR QUALITIES

• High school degree or GED equivalent required.
• 1 or more years of experience in a customer service-related position
• 1 or more years of experience in technical repairs
• Must possess a valid driver's license, have a good driving record, and demonstrate the ability to perceive colors correctly.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb a ladder, lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds for a significant distance (e.g., from a parked vehicle to a point within the Retailer's location or to the rooftop of the retailer's location). Must be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods of time, demonstrate dexterity when working with tools, and work with moving parts and electrical current. May work at heights (rooftop) for installation of equipment, work in close quarters, and/or be exposed to inclement weather during some installations.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $21/hr – $24/hr. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
