Job summary

Brightstar is a global lottery leader, seeking a Lottery Field Services Technician in Louisville, KY to service retailer locations. You will travel locally, install and maintain equipment, and ensure smooth operation of Brightstar systems in the field.

You will transport parts, train retailers, report issues to Dispatch, and uphold safety and vehicle policies while delivering top-notch service to customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years in customer service.
• 2–3 years in technical repairs.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; color vision required.
• Ability to drive a 20-ft box truck; CDL not required.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment at retailer locations in Louisville, KY.
• Transport, install, and maintain Brightstar equipment and supplies.
• Attend driver training and follow vehicle policy.
• Report activity and equipment issues to Dispatch.
• Deliver marketing supplies and track inventory.
• Provide basic training to retailers as needed.
• Complete primary forms for reporting activities.

• Brightstar seeks a Lottery Field Services Technician in Louisville, KY, to service equipment at retailer locations. This role is part of our award-winning lottery services team and involves regular fieldwork, driving, and customer support.
• Responsible for transporting, installing, and maintaining Brightstar equipment, replacement parts, tools, and supplies in an organized and structured manner.

• Attend driver training and follow Brightstar's vehicle policy regarding the use and maintenance of company vehicles.
• Maintain equipment to promote the continuous operation of Brightstar equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment to restore it to working order in the field. This may include swapping failed equipment, cleaning it, and making minor adjustments to the malfunctioning component.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with Dispatchers. Accurately report activity, arrival and departure times, problems, details, and resolutions of failures to Dispatch.
• Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts, such as paper, ribbons, and bet slips, and track the inventory of these items.
• Deliver basic training to new retailers or refresher/remedial training to retailers performing procedures incorrectly, such as changing paper and ribbon.
• Complete primary forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, recommendations for procedure improvements, etc

YOUR STAR QUALITIES

• High school degree or GED equivalent required.
• 2 - 3years of experience in a customer service-related position
• 2 - 3years of experience in technical repairs
• Must possess a valid driver's license, have a good driving record, and demonstrate the ability to perceive colors correctly.
• Must be able to drive a 20ft box truck on occasion, CDL license NOT required.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb a ladder, lift and carry equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds for a significant distance (e.g., from a parked vehicle to a point within the Retailer's location or to the rooftop of the retailer's location). Must be able to transport with the assistance of a colleague and lifting equipment, up to 800lbs. Must be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods of time, demonstrate dexterity when working with tools and work with moving parts and electrical current. May work at heights (rooftop) for installation of equipment, work in close quarters, and/or be exposed to inclement weather during some installations.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $16.00 – $21.00. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
