Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Lot Operations Specialist II to manage daily trailer and vehicle movements at a Cox location in California. The role requires guiding drivers, coordinating schedules, and ensuring safe, efficient yard operations.

The position emphasizes on-site duties, safety adherence, and collaboration with the lot manager to maintain smooth operations and timely vehicle logistics on sale days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Additional qualifications may be considered.
• Must have valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• 3 years of related experience or 5 years alternate combination considered.

Responsibilities

• Orient and instruct new drivers regarding duties and assist supervisor in assigning work.
• Communicate with supervisor to ensure proper flow of vehicles and maintain stock/log of locations.
• Coordinate schedules and assignments to crew members.
• Lead the team on sale days and coordinate move requirements with lot manager.
• Ensure vans are maintained and drivers transported to locations as scheduled.
• Transport employees and vehicles between auction, parking lots, and customer sites.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and ensure safety practices are followed.
