Job summary

Hello Mazda of San Diego is seeking a motivated candidate to join our team in a hands-on auto dealership role. No prior automotive experience required; we value a positive attitude and a customer‑focused approach.

As a Lot Attendant, you will maintain vehicle appearance, prep cars for delivery, move vehicles around the lot, and support service drives. A high school diploma, reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and flexibility including weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Professional attitude and the ability to deliver best-in-class customer service.
• Reliable transportation to and from work every day.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory appearance by cleaning interiors and exteriors, checking fluids, and replacing batteries as needed.
• Place buyer guides and stock tags on vehicles.
• Keep the lot neat and orderly and move cars as directed by the general manager.
• Move vehicles to and from service lanes, stalls, and the parking lot.
• Create key tags and manage vehicle inventory.
• Start vehicles daily and report any problems or concerns.
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations.
• Ensure serviced vehicles are washed before delivery to customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll be doing:

• Maintain inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
• Keep lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Make key tags for and handle inventory of vehicles.
• Start vehicles daily and reports any problems or concerns.
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations.
• Ensure all serviced vehicles are washed prior to being returned to the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
