Job summary

Lexus El Cajon is hiring a dependable Lot Porter to support our service and sales team. You will prepare vehicles for service, organize the lot, and ensure vehicles are clean and ready for customer pickup.

We offer full-time hours with a pay range of $18.00–$20.00 per hour. Must have a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds; prior lot porter experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Able to drive both standard and automatic transmissions.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience as Lot Porter or Detailer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for service and organize lot space.
• Maintain clean, safe service area and workspace.
• Return serviced vehicles to customers after washing/drying.
• Verify VINs and info on vehicles against invoices.
• Assist with other duties as needed.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Preparing vehicles for service – mat and plastic liner placement, creating key tags, moving and parking vehicles
• Keeping service area clean, presentable, and free of safety hazards
• Retrieving, washing and drying of newly serviced vehicles for customers
• Playing car Tetris! Ensuring maximum use of the space on the dealership lot
• Verifying serial numbers and information for incoming cars against service work and invoices
• Inspecting cars for damage and confirming accessories listed on invoice
• Documenting damages and missing items on delivery receipts
• Other tasks or duties as needed

What Do I Need?

• Must have a Driver's License
• Ability to drive both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Previous experience working as a Lot Porter, Facility Attendant, Detailer a plus!
• A can-do attitude!

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Additionally, candidates with experience at car washes doing detail work or working as lot or facility porters a plus!
