Job summary

North County Ford in Vista, CA is seeking a motivated Lot Porter to join our team. This full-time role focuses on preparing vehicles for service, moving cars around the lot, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. You’ll gain exposure to the automotive service environment and grow within the company.

Ideal candidates are energetic, have a valid Driver's License, and can lift up to 50 pounds. Prior porter or detailing experience is a plus, with competitive hourly pay and employee discounts on

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to operate manual/automatic vehicles.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks outdoors.
• Prior lot porter, detailer, or facility attendant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for service and move them within the lot.
• Keep the service area clean and safe at all times.
• Assist with vehicle check-in, documentation, and delivery prep.
• Assist with car staging and space optimization on the lot.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and alternating Saturdays.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Preparing vehicles for service – mat and plastic liner placement, creating key tags, moving and parking vehicles
• Keeping service area clean, presentable, and free of safety hazards
• Retrieving, washing and drying of newly serviced vehicles for customers
• Playing car Tetris! Ensuring maximum use of the space on the dealership lot
• Verifying VIN numbers and information for incoming cars against service work and invoices
• Inspecting cars for damage and confirming accessories listed on invoice
• Documenting damages and missing items on delivery receipts
• Other tasks or duties as needed

What Do I Need?

• Must have a Driver's License
• Ability to drive both standard and automatic transmission vehicles
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Previous experience working as a Lot Porter, Facility Attendant, Detailer a plus!
• A can-do attitude!

Candidates with an interest in cars are encouraged to apply. Additionally, candidates with experience at car washes doing detail work or working as lot or facility porters a plus!

Pay Range: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour
