Job summary

Lexus El Cajon is seeking a dedicated Lot Porter to prepare vehicles for service, manage vehicle movement, and keep the lot organized. You will ensure clean, safe, and presentable service areas while supporting customers with timely vehicle handling.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work evenings/weekends. Prior porter/detailer experience is a plus; compensation is hourly and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive both standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Previous experience working as a Lot Porter, Facility Attendant, Detailer a plus!
• A can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for service - mat and plastic liner placement, creating key tags, moving and parking vehicles.
• Keep service area clean, presentable, and free of safety hazards.
• Retrieve, wash and dry newly serviced vehicles for customers.
• Maximize lot space by organizing vehicles and equipment.
• Verify serial numbers and information for incoming cars against service work and invoices.
• Inspect cars for damage and confirm accessories listed on invoice.
• Document damages and missing items on delivery receipts.
• Assist with additional tasks as needed.

What Will I Be Doing?

• Preparing vehicles for service - mat and plastic liner placement, creating key tags, moving and parking vehicles
• Keeping service area clean, presentable, and free of safety hazards
• Retrieving, washing and drying of newly serviced vehicles for customers
• Playing car Tetris! Ensuring maximum use of the space on the dealership lot
• Verifying serial numbers and information for incoming cars against service work and invoices
• Inspecting cars for damage and confirming accessories listed on invoice
• Documenting damages and missing items on delivery receipts
• Other tasks or duties as needed

What Do I Need?

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Additionally, candidates with experience at car washes doing detail work or working as lot or facility porters a plus!
