Job summary

Hamrick's, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist in Roanoke, Virginia, to protect company assets and prevent inventory shrinkage. You'll work closely with the Store Management Team to maintain control over shrinkage and perform internal and external investigations.

The ideal candidate must be 21 years or older, possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and have a passion for superior customer service. The position entails routine inspections, safety reviews, and physical security checks.

The Loss Prevention Specialist works as a member of a team responsible for the protection of company assets by preventing inventory shrinkage due to accidents. Identifies, prevents, corrects, and eliminates loss caused by internal, external, and paperwork errors.

Responsibilities

• Partnership with Store Management Team to maintain control of shrinkage in all of its forms
• Conducts internal and external investigations, writes, and maintains reports, testifies in court cases, interviews subjects, suspects, witnesses, and victims via physical/CCTV means
• Conducts safety reviews and inspections
• Conducts routine employee spot checks on purchases, holds, personal belongings and trash
• Conducts routine physical security checks
• Responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of the emergency/disaster plan
• Maintain accountability through clear performance expectations
• Additional responsibilities to be determined as business requires
• Works in partnership with store management in matters concerning loss prevention

• Ability to sit for long periods, stand and be physically able to apprehend shoplifters
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis
