Job summary

Hamrick's, Inc. is looking for a Loss Prevention Specialist in Columbia, South Carolina. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have a positive, cheerful attitude. Knowledge of shoplifting laws is required, along with the ability to be physically active and lift up to 25 lbs.

The Loss Prevention Specialist works as a member of a team responsible for the protection of company assets by preventing inventory shrinkage due to accidents. Identifies, prevents, corrects, and eliminates loss caused by internal, external, and paperwork errors.

Responsibilities

• Partnership with Store Management Team to maintain control of shrinkage in all of its forms
• Conducts internal and external investigations, writes, and maintains reports, testifies in court cases, interviews subjects, suspects, witnesses, and victims via physical/CCTV means
• Conducts safety reviews and inspections
• Conducts routine employee spot checks on purchases, holds, personal belongings and trash
• Conducts routine physical security checks
• Responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of the emergency/disaster plan
• Maintain accountability through clear performance expectations
• Additional responsibilities to be determined as business requires
• Works in partnership with store management in matters concerning loss prevention
