Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Loss Prevention Specialist to protect assets and ensure a safe shopping environment at our Edmond, OK stores. You will engage customers, deter theft, and uphold company standards while working with store leadership.

This role requires strong communication, a background in security or retail, and a commitment to our values. You will train and support associates, participate in investigations, and help minimize shortages daily.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Provides visible command presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitors for potential safety issues and deters theft.
• Removes clutter and ensures safe egress to emergency exits.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates with Store Leadership and Loss Prevention Leadership.
• Partners with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives and minimization of shortage.
• Increases store awareness and trains associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
