Job summary

Scheels in Rapid City is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to protect customers and store assets while delivering excellent service. You will work with leadership to deter theft, assist customers, and maintain a safe shopping environment.

Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, with an average of 15–20 hours per week. Compensation is $18 per hour. Requires a high school diploma and strong communication skills; CPR/OC certification willingness is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to obtain CPR and OC certification.

Responsibilities

• Asset protection: detect and report theft, cooperate with leadership and law enforcement.
• Safety: assist customers, escort wheels and carts, monitor facilities and traffic.
• Operational: assist in cash handling, maintain records, ensure compliance with policies.
• Observing and interviewing suspects, maintain CCTV knowledge, and help with incident reports.
