Job summary

Fairmont Dallas, located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, seeks a Loss Prevention Officer to protect guests and colleagues while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. You will participate in emergency responses, monitor safety, and support the security team in day-to-day operations.

CPR/First Aid certification is required, and you should be able to respond to incidents, conduct patrols, and report safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Security role required.
• Computer literacy in Windows applications required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• University/college degree in a related discipline preferred.
• Professional presentation is required.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities; highly responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Team oriented with colleagues; guest-focused and courteous.
• Visa requirements: eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Ensure the overall safety and security of guests, colleagues and hotel premises.
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team and respond to emergencies.
• Investigate and report violations of law or hotel policy.
• Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid/CPR as required.
• Identify and report fire or health/safety hazards.
• Investigate accidents, complaints, criminal activity and crises.
• Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control.
• Maintain key control audits and records.
• Document actions in a Daily Activity Report.
• Follow all safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Loss Prevention Officer:

At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our Colleagues, guests and visitors is an integral part of our operations. As a Security Officer, your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure your hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.

Reporting to the Director of Loss Prevention, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, Colleagues and hotel premises
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance
• Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy is investigated and reported
• Respond to all emergency situations and provide First Aid and C.P.R. as required
• Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards
• Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations
• Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control
• Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records
• Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report
• Follow all safety policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Security role required

• Certification in CPR First Aid required
• University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
• Must possess a professional presentation
