Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. – HomeGoods in Latham, NY is seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to deter theft, support store management, and maintain a safe shopping environment.

You will wear a Body Worn Camera, greet customers, and position at the front of the store or in a department while following company policies and procedures. Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in retail or security, strong communication, good judgment, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good decision-making abilities and sound judgment.
• Able to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload and manage time effectively.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• 0-2 years retail or security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a proper and professional stance at the front of the store.
• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent loss/dishonesty.
• Review and understand emergency response procedures.
• Wear a Company-approved uniform including a Body Worn Camera.
• Greet customers and demonstrate courtesy and respect.
• Refer customers to store management or customer service as needed.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents to LP or store management.
• Perform a closing safety sweep with a manager.
• Document incidents in AIIM Case Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
