Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear seeks individuals with integrity to fill store loss prevention roles. The Asset Protection Associate is a highly visible position requiring a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

Primary duties include preventing theft, protecting assets, and supporting store management. This role reports to the Store Manager and operates within the Operations department.

Qualifications

• Positive customer service skills when interacting with staff and customers.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing across all levels of the organization.
• Attention to detail, time management and the ability to multitask.
• Must be able to stand the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor awareness and observe behavior indicating possible theft.
• Communicate suspicious behavior to store managers.
• Ensure personal belongings are checked prior to leaving the store.
• Thank customers as they leave and invite them back.
• Be prepared to stop and confront customers observed concealing merchandise.
• Provide detailed information to police about stolen merchandise.
• Protect assets and financial information by enforcing internal controls and reporting fraud risk.
